Make Sense

By innocence

Sometimes It's hard to sit there and follow all the rules
and sometimes It's hard to do what I'm told and go to school
and Sometimes I wonder why I go off to live the life that I lead
and I often can't make sense of anything I dream

Why do I sit here and listen to all their lies
listen to all the bullshit they feed
I don't know why I go on to live this life
this life that I don't need

We sought to change the world from the beginning of time
took control of others and punished those out of line
and we took things for granted, by making rules to live
Got so caught up with ourselves,
We forgot what we were doing in the end

Why do I sit here and listen to all their lies
listen to all the bullshit they feed
I don't know why I go on to live this life
this life that I don't need

Now everyone's searching for a way to stay up on their feet
Everyone's searching for a rope of hope
to get out of the hole they dug too deep
and no where can you find a man made up of sense
no way can you back track life to erase
the things that make you tense

Why do I sit here and listen to all their lies
listen to all the bullshit they feed
I don't know why I go on to live this life
this life that I don't need

So I take a step back or two, can you tell me what's the perfect life for you?
can you breathe in and then breathe out, recover from the fall
tell me Mr. know-it-all, can you make any sense of it at all?
