i am the boy on the merry-go-round
always destine to do so
and watch the calliope crash
i am the boy on the beach
always running from the surf
i am the boy in the movie
who will never get the girl
i am the boy in the painting
who will never catch the lightning bug
i am the boy in the back of the room
who’ll never be remembered
i am the nameless & faceless me
