quo vadimis

By theBAC

(or we're friends, this is what we train for)

through it all
we fought
through it all
we won
it doesn’t matter where we’ve been anymore
it used to matter
but now all i care about is what
we will see in the future
we came together
and saw so many things
the girls
the drugs
the empty bottles in our rooms
and all of that brought us nothing
but an ending
you’ve called me every name in the book
and i’ve done the same to you
i went from willing to die for you
to wanting to kill you myself
we grew from being those two boys in the creek
to those tired men caught in the world’s web
hands on each other’s throats
we have grown away from each other
and we came back
however we’ll still eventually
come to the point where
we’ll talk once a year
if we’re lucky
but we have a past
a great one
and we struggled through the present
and we have a future
and we can make it as great
as we choose to make it

through it all
i still want to stand beside you through every failure
and every success
