I Cry Daddy

By Dekika

I miss you Daddy,
when are you coming home?
It's been so long.

I'm crying Daddy,
why won't you come and hold me?
Tell me you'll never leave again.

Mom is worried Daddy,
come back and ease her pain.
Tell her how much you love her Daddy.

I'm gazing out the window Daddy.
When will I see you again?
I've been sitting here for days.

I'm growing older Daddy,
have you even noticed?
Tell me how big I've gotten.

I'm letting go Daddy,
does it even matter?
You have another home.

But still,
I cry,
Daddy.

What a fantastic example of a child speaking with adult voice- it is also a painful example. Do me a favor: let that little girl know *YOU* love her... and she's not wrong to miss her Daddy.
