Embers of Life
By Dekika
Fire pulses through my veins,
through my body,
into my heart.
Hate nestles deep within,
where only the fire can seep.
Fire causes my body to be hot,
my hands to shake,
my fists to clench.
Hate causes
my thoughts to race,
as the fire rushes through my head.
It burns my fleash inside.
My body cringes in fear.
My blood is nonexistant,
there is only fire,
and anger,
and pain.
The fire causes
rash actions,
inhumane remarks,
and savage cruelty.
I cut,
the fire cools slightly.
The fiery gasoline spills out of my veins.
And I feel better,
as the raging fire slows and cools,
to soft warm embers of life.

I really enjoyed the embrace of hate at first! Very brutal and badass. It was also realistic how you went further and showed the inevitable degradation of anger with time
