beyond the wire above the ground

By theBAC

black radial scars on the pavement
grill impressions in the dirt
head lights spraying
into the black of the sky

screams vibrating telephone wire
air-conditioned brain waves
interfering radio station buzz
seat belts ripping in time
with the pistons turning
sparks flashing
rain falling

dashboard crumbling
body collapsing over steering wheel
praying to the windshield
confessing to the rearview

spider cracking paint
shining fragments
eyes twinkling from the blood
glass imbedded in forearm
heart beating in time
with the keys
swinging on their ring

rain water purification
blessing the dripping fuel
innocence exploding with the air bag
fear making the temperature rise
our lives turning
a live transmission
dark eyes with pupils shrunk
tail lights flashing
passerby's stop and stare
a time of your life
coming to a close

an autobiography written
on leather seats
with fingernails
circuitry frying
computer shorting out
face swelling with rushing blood

one year later
the road is still straight
and bearings intact

Imagery crashing against one another; broken, violent ... excellent job in capturing the moment. Good work! ~L (Synthetic Darkness)
