Dreams of Yours

By Kryzten

Tonight, I am waiting for you,
My soul is longing too
For your consolation.
I continue to be restless,
Sitting contiguous the willow in bloom,
I regard the white, puffy dandelions with lazy suspicion.
For what reason do they float away...
For what reason do I stay-
Remaining here with this sense of blankness in the air,
Not a care
For the continuous stories of the world;
The places outside my spirit,
But by and by the way,
Why isn't my love present at this time...
For isn't he so obviously mine?
"I am held by your happiness," you once said,
And then into a dream, you led,
And took my hand in yours;
Cleansing us to our cores.
Oh, my love,
Please come soon.
I am waiting and watching and looking above.
The waking angels have left tears on the full moon,
And if you are not here,
Oh, the timid fear
Will choke the night away, quietly.
So please, my love, come soon.
Come; wipe away the tears from the moon.
Come with me to count the stars,
Come with me to drown my scars.
Now here comes the sun,
But I shall not give in.
Now here is a gun,
But I shall never bend.
For isn't there one...more towards my reach...
I haven't given in
To the soft, blue sleep
That incases my mind.
For now I am unable to control my step,
So now I shall not move,
And it's left for me to prove
That love can be strong
Even when you're wrong
To not be here yet,
And to let
The craters of the moon overflow with tears.
The puddles in my eyes overflow with calm fears;
With dreams and screams
Too muffled to hear,
Too far to be near,
Too gone to be here,
And gentle, early morning is steadily continuing along,
And soon will be over.
Yes, all is still...
All is still
Waiting for you.
All is faint and worn-away blue.
Now, my sweet,
Why must you persist to awaken me in a dream so hazy?
I am not sure for what reason...
And I am not sure of what season...
My days exceed beyond their own time.
With noon wrapped around absence's finger,
Present time is her to linger.
It is here to move silently,
To watch the timid dreams decay,
And as indolent as I may be,
I still find strength to see;
Inference to understand.
That I must not demand
What I love,
And command
What's above?
Yes, in this...
In the deepest spirit,
Waiting for you,
My darling love,
Oh, waiting for you,
In the most meticulous, symbolic dreams of creation;
Of yours,
You will find welcoming doors,
Solicitous arms,
And you will take shelter below a calm willow in bloom,
And you'll recognize me in this veiled tomb.
Then forever we shall be,
And forever I shall see
The bright in the day,
If I may;
The light in the night,
If I might.
Then, I yelled with much thankfulness in my heart,
"Oh, my love, you are my sun,"
And my love said back unto me,
"And you, my stars."
I mumbled in a sorry spirit,
Expecting no one to hear it,
"You are my gun,"
But when it was heard,
And the thoughts were endured.
His respnse reminded me of this bond of ours;
"And you, my dear, are merely my scars."

    The back and forth daydream imagery really steered this along nicely. That last line crushing. Thank you for sharing :)
