Emptiness

Devoid of emotion
To lack what they feel
No more love
Hate, sadness
Betrayal, jealousy
Happiness, joy
Nothing anymore

They don’t understand
That I am content
To stay this way
Where I can stay away
No more fear
Of what may happen
Just the simple form
Seeing and understanding
But never really
A part of them

I would rather
Have this then
The ever present fear
Of doing something wrong
And suffering their hatred
A simple thought
To flow through my mine
No need to tell
No need at all

Just be content
To have this emptiness
Surrounding you
Protecting you
From your own mind
