"Dialogue" - revisited

By Audrey_Star

“That story is proof that love really isn’t enough.”
“No kidding.”
“Doesn't it feel like just yesterday the two of them were headed down the isle themselves?”
“Soul mates right?”
“Forever.”
“That was the theory.”
“I guess forever isn’t really forever after all.”
“It’s definitely not as long as I thought is was.”
“Remember the way they used to finish each others sentences?”
“Looked perfect.”
“Nothing’s perfect.”
“ . . . and the way they could sit together for hours?”
“I heard he was seen out there the other night.”
“I remember the way his face would light up whenever they were together.”
“I thought nothing would tear those two apart.”
“There was a time when nothing could.”
“And her, what about her?”
“It was as if someone had ripped her heart in two. Her life became nothing but restless nights.”
“She never could sleep without him.”
“At least she can rest now.”
“It was drug induced right?”
“Yeah.”
