A Lover’s Bliss

By Audrey_Star

I beg you love, please listen to my plight.
I know it hurts to see this lifeless void
that’s never filled with any kind of light.
Forget that pain; I know I am devoid
of love and joy, it is my detriment.
If you could just indulge me in this task
I need from you a true acknowledgement.
Without it there is nothing more to ask.
You must not speak of my complexity.
Ignore the fact that I am on the fence.
Do not expect a perfect symmetry.
Know that my pain is true, without pretence.
Now if you say that you can’t handle this,
I fear, my dear, that this is our last kiss.
