eggs in the basket

By LIFEINVADER

{
   harvest:  `life's cruel joke, a cynical jest,
     in the vessel of fate, we lay our quest,
     with eyes full of hope, we blindly trust,
     but death's icy hand, turns all to dust....

     no resurrection, no second chance,
     just a fleeting pounce, in life's cruel dance,
     so gather your dreams, in a futile remedy,
     for in the end, we're all just debris.`

    I’ve always thought the brevity of life is what makes little moments so important, albeit fleeting. This piece got me thinking. Cheers, mate!
