Held

By I IS ME

I’m but a dust particle caught within your gravitational pull
An asteroid willing to be used by you, my Sun, as a tool
Your affection for me determines my true worth
I’ve loved and needed you since the universe’s birth

Eternal has been my love, the span of from Alpha to Omega
With the need that Mercury and Venus has for Vega
I’ve cried into a black hole creating a pool with a view
Spaghetti-ing waves at times shimmer reflecting images of you

Into the pool I beg while crying, please pity a lonely asteroid
Alone and in the freezing cold, a heart to avoid
A barren waste land, desolate, unsure of my own composition
What could maintain this divide, how can you stop fission

Just the thought of being blessed with a little of your warmth
I imagine life being created within as my heart warms
Knowledge of self appears because with you comes understanding
Growth from surface to core because knowledge is so demanding

Demanding to know if it’s possible for you to feel as I do
Are you to be captured and loved, or am I only to pursue
Me a mere dust particle caught within your gravitational pull
An asteroid willing to be used by you, my Sun, as a tool

BEautiful imagery...Giving so much, only to watch it drift away. Never the forever companion you desire...Keep searching, you will find your fire
