Vein

By Tagen

The sky runs red,
And blood-laced over love's cruel end.
And as he held her hand,
I knew I had found a friend.

Spirit succubus,
Don't aim your arrows at me.
I'm the one afraid;
I'm the one with enemies.

Mother dove, made of love,
I prepare for a heartless eternity.
I'm not the one above
SInging prayers to thee.

Bone and blood
Blood and bone

Leave us alone
Tearing stones

Across the infinite sky.
