Revival

By coagulatewithin

Like spattered ink on canvas, stained
These memories won't wash away;
Forever burned within my brain
Until my being has withered, gray;

Pain it sits inside, dead weight
Following behind each day;
In solitude I ponder, blank
For emptiness has filled your space;

Wandering a neutral embrace
Stagnant thoughts, frozen in place;
Tethered to the ground, so safe
Observing life at my own pace;

Time will bring about fresh change
To stir my soul and light the flame;
Revival of this smiling face
To cherish, love, and recreate;

    I really like this piece, It insights a lot of memories and emotion. I love how you crafted the idea into a positive narrative with recreation.
