Smile in Sadness

I see you
and all your dreams
coming true
but I won't stand
feeling blue

Remembering when
I will stand
thinking how we walked
hand in hand

Everywhere
adventures and more
all the plans
we had in store

All the good times
and the bad
seeing you flourish
makes me glad

So with an ache in my heart
and tears in my eyes
I will watch us part
with silent cries
