Tormented Mind

By Glass eyes

As I lay here holding back the tears,
and waiting for you to leave the room.
I continue to smile like I have for a while,
but suddenly can hold them in no more.

We've dealt through a lot throughout the years,
and the days continue to zoom.
And yet there is still one more thing to go the extra mile,
that I just can’t seem to do so I continue to ignore.

This special thing is taken for granted,
by some people who seem to not care.
They do it for fun, money or likes,
but for me it’s something much more.

I continue to leave you tormented,
and wondering why because what I have is rare.
I try and try but strike after strike,
I'm left feeling much worse then before.

What is causing this block may've been hidden during your childhood. The good thing is that you realize you have something special and together you can work through it. Blue balls aren't fatal, lol.
