sit at my table
I have made enough
for all
"But my eyes are slanted"
said the girl
"Like sweet, ripe almonds"
said I
She smiled and took a seat
"But my skin is black"
said the young man
"Like smooth, dark chocolate"
said I
He smiled and took a seat
"I am old and bent"
said the gray haired woman
"You are a font of wisdom and virtue"
said I
She smiled and took a seat
"I am but a child"
said the little girl
"And there is not
a more precious gift
that we could be given"
She smiled and took a seat
"Sit, my Friends
and eat"
"For you are all beautiful"
"Because God made you"
"And God...
