Shaken

By Shaded_Iris

They should all see it in your eyes.
Mistakes are made to callous the mind.
The pressure dressed to seem something like a smile.
Confessing could be better than walking this endless mile.

Day and night, we all tread away from what we've left.
Though even it pains us more with each and every step.
Still we will meet our time more soonly than we expect.
Just like another suprise awaits this sun to set.

A day awaits to slip these chains
that have bound your life these nights and days.
Not left to feel the weighted breath or pain
that saps your smile and wrinkles your face.

To escape the taste of the wrath and hate
that leaps at you blind, just the same as your fate.
Creeping in your mind, screams and secrets that you hide.
Eating at you alive, to be leaving with you when you die.

Not even once blinking at all this that you endure.
Seizing a quiet moment to grit those teeth of yours.
A screaming thought in mind that's never to be told,
Still finds ways of shaking so many lonely souls.

Chosen by night, the Stars are glimmering like your eyes.
As while, your curiousity fuels a flame that you didn't light.
The beauty only to be whispered to those who want to hear.
Yesterday meant everything until it dissappeared.

Bleeding a bitter hue between black and red, ripping like the tide.
Unfolding slowly, this romance is seeming to only have one side.
Ashes are like memories, and soot showers me like rain.
Another day we bathe in the same blood and dust from which we're made.

Flesh broken to spill, just hoping to feel alive.
Hands open to let go, to hold again another night.
Gripped again by that trembling feel and a body that aches.
Remember the chills that held you when you could only shake.
