Silver Moon
By azazeleriolwolf
Against the blackened starless skies,
The silver moon begins to rise.
And all that's calm within the night,
Met in the aspect of her eyes.
I can't recall all my memory,
It's been so long...thru centuries.
But won't forget that fateful night,
In the full moons waning light.
When as a wolf...she came to me.
I was not scared.I did not run,
If this meant death...thy will be done.
I am at peace, I am at one,
Yet the onslaught never comes.
As you guess I'm taken back,
As why this wolf did not attack.
I searched my mind for hidden truth,
Vain perception which I had.
She meant no harm,I gathered this,
Perhaps she wants companionship.
But her eyes had pierced my heart,
And knew...was more than this.
I sat upon the dampened earth,
She bared her teeth and then lunged forth.
And sunk her fangs deep in my skin,
I knew my life was over then......
To my surprise...I did not die,
As I awoke I then realized.
That the sun had long since rised,
And now it was mid-morning time.
I looked around and then I seen,
A naked woman laid next to me.
Beauty as I've never seen,
Thought to myself...this is a dream.
Gently...She then did stir,
Opened eyes, but said no word.
Blood was dried on face and hands....
Then at once I understood.
I lift my fingers to my throat,
And felt the wound which was invoked.
By this werewolf creature she,
In human form then spoke to me....
"My darling,at last! My search of many years,
Both far and wide, through many lands and many tears,
Has finally ended here.
You may not recall as memories fade,
I saved you one day while you was a babe.
A pack of wolves had a mind to tear you apart.
Your soul imprinted a scourge unto my heart.
We're meant to be together. It is no mistake,
We're predestined to love unto death death is our fate."
I looked in her eyes and said..."I remember.....
The night of the 16th,in the month of December.
My birthday...I climbed out the window,
YES! I was 3...I wanted to walk by moon light in the stream.
It's when I noticed,they were following me,
A pack of wolves....seven,at least.
Their glowing eyes searched in the dark,
My chest pounding from the beat of my heart.
I wanted to RUN,but was frozen in place,
Then as you appeared from the woods,I knew I was safe.
I can't explain it. In my soul I just KNEW!
The wolves which were many, were killed off to few.
You finished them off...It was scarcely a fight,
You escorted me home, then disappeared in the night.
All of my life I thought of that day,
I prayed you'd return and hoped you would stay"
"My beloved. I'll never leave you nor forsake you,
We'll be together for eternity,it's the reason I made you.
On the next full moon, you'll turn against will,
And still the same, you'll make your first kill.
But do not worry, I shall be with you,
I will be sure no harm befall you.
You are my soulmate, you are my love,
We'll give in to lust and we'll feast upon blood.
We'll run thru the woods, our nose to the wind,
We'll make love and we'll hunt, again and again.
Under the full moon and dark starless skies,
You'll understand you were dead and now you're ALIVE!
You've been made immortal and can change at your will,
You will never die...But could surly be killed.
Fire,decapitation...avoid at all costs.
You'll die if encountered...And all will be lost.
But worry not on such things." She said. Eyes glistening.
"I have so much to show you. All you've been missing."
I pulled her to me. A shared lycan embrace,
Merely her scent caused my heart start to race.
I tasted her breath,an intimate kiss,
Then ravaged her savagely and licked the blood from her breast.
I devoured so deeply, she made me complete,
A beast once long caged, but now is released.
She began to howl as I did the same,
Growling from pleasure as well as the pain.
Lust now sated we readied to kill,
To drink of the blood and partake of our fill.
That is rightfully ours as wolves of the night,
As the silver moon calls with its beckoning light.
