Chemical Burns...or how I ended up in jail

By katsmeow

Out of control, those days a blur, I would stay high for days
My moorings cut, I was adrift, I wandered in a maze
Dead end paths and sudden stops, I took it all in stride
With chemicals to wash my brain, no fears were left inside
I gladly did just what it took to keep the buzz alive
I begged and borrowed, even stole, rock bottom had arrived
I finally stopped when I got caught, but just a little late
And then I had to pay the price, in court I met my fate
So now I'm here inside this jail, I'm paying for my crime
This lesson learned, I won't repeat, I cannot do the time

from inside
