Eyes

By felicity0444

I see into people
 Their eyes are so deep
 Shrouds of secrecy
           And clouds of regret
Wishful dreaming
            Of lives forgotten
        Given up on
And despair above all
 Hurt and pain
           Tortures their souls
Sights wished left unseen
Confusion
            Is that helplessness?
I see into others
Strength beyond measure
Eyes that are open
 That really see
Appreciation
        Of life’s small wonders
I see into people
         They don't know I'm looking
Sometimes I see what they don't

Powerful. "Sometimes I see what they don't." Love it. Well done, felicity0444.
