Sleight of Hand

By Brandon

Forgive my hand, for the wound upon your neck,
I apologize, for I'm a nervous wreck
This is an Iconic moment I hold in my presence
Eyes fixed, as incisions leak out your essence

You were my first, but you will not be my last.
Still your beating heart, dont make this go too fast.
When did adoration become this disgust?
Replace all emotion with bloodlust.

A whipping blade to mark you with memories
I don't make love, only enemies
I hope you had the time of your life
The moon on your pale face just feels so right.

I always pictured it ending this way
The smile on your face quickly fades
Violently thrashing, like a plane crashing
I'll be right here by your side.
