Childhood Dreams

By imfine

Your dreams as a child are soon forgotten
Consumed by responsibility
And thoughts of your reality

What if we held on to our dreams
And didn’t let them go so easily
As the world tells us how we should be

What would the world be like
If we could all live out our childhood dreams
There would be so many beautiful things

Bright colors against blue sky
Creativity seen through childhood eyes
Adult innovation would be combined

With all the beautiful dreams
Where would we be
If not for responsibility
