Nightmares

So many of my past mistakes
So many of my fears
So many of my failures
They haunt me at night
They show up
When I have no guard to hold up
Against them
There is no running
I just have to hold still and watch
I can't wake up
In this loop of nightmares
Some things make no sense
But still scare the hell out of me
I know I am screaming
But is there any noise
Can anyone out there hear me
Or am I still in my head
Can I wake up
Or am I forever stuck here
