Dying Stars and Broken Universes
By LovelyUndead
An expanse of sullen darkness lies before veiled eyes
Teasing the sense of touch with shadowy fingers
Cold air..
It’s so cold
This darkness, the blackness of the night
Engulf the body with furry arms of ill discomfort
Restless, unsettled in a shallow sleep
Perceived like time drips from the hands of a broken clock
On the face of a planet, counting seconds washing by
A less fortunate fate than the death of a thousand dying stars
Cataclysmic silence in the darkening universe
Within this body, within this chest
Where a wholesome soul used to live

I love the imagery and personification used here... however, I would edit the line that reads in part "...the death of a thousand dying stars". This sounds redundant. Otherwise, the poem seems to flow pretty well.
