Angel of Desire

By daveinsocal

Angel, blessed being of power and light

fallen down to this realm

she has become my dark desire

her beauty my prison

enraptured by her eyes

enthralled by her words

enslaved by her lust

spoken to me in dark dreams

is this my reality or

dark fantasy unfulfilled

the Hawk her familiar

forcing me to love from a distance

what evil is this

what demon has come upon me

whispering in my ear

making promises that can’t be kept

I look from afar

never realising the truth

the angel is not in my world

and I can’t touch hers

Hi DiSC and isn't the internet fantasy world fun! We can bounce our poetry off liked-minded enthusiasts and share our creativity with small consequence; while engendering a feeling of connectedness maybe (Wow, that was a really long sentence). Enjoyed your characterization of this Angel from afar - cheers! - Dan
