Little bird

By beamish

Where does the sparrow go when it needs to hide

how does that little bird grieve or cry

does it have to cover its eyes act as if all is well

sit and sing even though it has no meaning

is it afraid of what the other sparrows might think or are the birds free of the social stigmas  that are thrown in our faces

I long to be that little bird in the tree

enjoying the sun able to fly far from my life

land somewhere new and sing a joyful song of how I loved you

A Painstakingly sweet sentiment tied into one, you had me stuck in thought for a brief moment. I particularly liked how you transitioned from a longing tone into a present. A neat read, I dig. -Bows Scholar
