My awakening
By beamish
I sleep to never wake again.
The apple of pain was my friend.
It's not the poisonous sleep that I fear but the reawakening that is
almost here.
The cold dark bliss that is slumber kills my aching hunger.
To open my eyes to the face of pain, the monsters head, the Demons reign
is what I hope to never do again.
But i know this valley of skulls is a day I must face, the serpents tongue
something I must taste.
So with blissful hate I open my eyes and start to cry, my day has started
as my soul continues to die

Solid imagery. I noticed a wee typo that can easily be fixed, "reawakening (that's is) almost here." ...I really like this piece because I can tell that you write from the heart. And that my friend, is why you've became my new found favorite poet. -Write on
