Crucified

By beamish

If I crucified my heart would it stop the beast

If I burnt my soul would it not die each day

If I took my eyes could I not cry for a time

Would it then all go away would the peace replace pain

Would I feel the sun again

Or would I be a slave lock in a shackled mind of darkness still hungry still raw

Would I die to start again or would I just start dying alone without a friend

Moving piece. So much raw emotion unpeeled in such few words. very effective.

"If I took my eyes could I not cry for a time" one of the many great lines displayed in this displaced emotional lock. Brilliant and raw, yet full of life. -Bows Scholar
