Joan of Arc's Eulogy
By silverwolf
My king,
I wept for thee
when the British made you run
my lord,
I raged in vain
when Burgundy modeled the Judas one
my liege,
I rode to you
when I knew of a way to win
my dauphin,
I marched to Orleans
when the Redcoats besieged out kin
my leader,
I prayed to our Lord
when our army marched to fight
my prince,
I cried in triumph
when France proved its bite.
But,
your highness,
I asked your help
when King Henry's men captured me
and
your majesty,
I despaired
when you did not come for me.
I wept for thee,
your majesty.
Will you not weep for me?
