Enamored

By BloodyMercy

Time has been fleeting,
as it always is.
A connection of astronomical proportion
Sewing its way through thoughts and reason
I don’t need or want to understand.

Filled with an overwhelming sense of elation at the very thought of you
Such physical distance that leaves me longing for your touch
Bringing what’s left of my heart to the surface
I would give you anything
I would do anything for you

This sense of peace consumes all
A feeling long lost and forgotten
I am consumed by you
I melt in your gaze, so loving and strong
You can do no wrong

What is it to wish for all of this to last forever?
What is it to wish for nothing else?
What is it to hope you feel a piece of this deep in your core?
What is it to want to give you the world?
What is it to want you forevermore?

Feeling so deeply it soothes
Exploding with a happiness unstrung
Washing away all of the stains of misfortune and misery
Cleansing this in your purity
Enamored with the thought of what we could become
