Talking to the Voices
By Desi VS The World
You think I'm okay?
You think I'm alright?
Do you think no one else does the things you do?
Think again.
You push me around,
hit me
treat me like dirt
call me names
I absorb your hurtful actions
I'm helpless
I'm drowning
HELP ME
No one hears my screams
Soon they become muffled bubbles in this sea
The sea they call depression
(I'm drowning, I'm drowning)
But in reality it isn't depression, no
A girl like me is incapable of having emotion
Outcasts have no feelings
Can you see it?
(No?)
That's because it's pitch black
When you hit me, I'm blinded
Blinded by your ability to treat people the way you do
I CANT SWIM
Not in this type of water
The water that soaks into your skin
Dehydrating you of your ability to be happy
You're not happy
You're nothing
You're numb
IM SUFFOCATING
No
don't lie to them
they cant hear you
they cant hear you
you're alone
(Then how are we conversing?)
We are not
we are one
because I am the voices inside your head

Its weird, because its almost like that voice in your head is a completely different person telling you all these terrible things. You don't want to believe them but the voice keeps convincing and convincing thats what everyone thinks of you. Its a suckish feeling.

I quickly found this way to be a great contributor in many ways, especially to the language and poetry, it does feel a bit synthetic at times but that's what practice is. I got to be reminded of it and thankful for it, so thank you.

This was amazing!
Gave me chills!
I could feel desperation while reading, even hid my feet under the covers.
it's true, we are our worst enemies.
