Drowning

By gearhead

My life now lye before me as i close my eyes

Like a looking glass to the future,  an escape from my lies

Memories they do haunt me, nothing sooth's my cry's

The pain a disaster, and a lifetime of demise

I drift off to forever, into a fiery surprise

My body lays drowning as my soul takes flight

Falling to oblivion giving in on the fight

My choices set in stone,  wrongs cannot be made right

Looking back on my life, as i drown  tonight

Will someone save me, just who might?

Would i save myself, with my insight

Light now fading, not so sublime

Drifting to the bottom this life of mine

Into the darkness, no piece of mind

Now drowning forever
  Yet  trapped inside......

This conveys so much emotion. I feel how youre drowning in sadness and emptiness and anger. Very nice piece .
