Unwanted

By SickSanityJenn

There once was a damaged little girl
Sharp hazel eyes and head of curls
Smart but too naive to understand
Sinking into darkness like quicksand

She saw more than most her age
Deception, cruelty, abuse and pain
Never really feeling safe and secure
Faced with more than most endure

Skin marked with scars and bruises
Her happy demeanor just an illusion
Frightened by the monsters within
Broken by everyone she ever let in

Misery is a melody she knows well
Drenched in promises to never tell
Little hands gripping a blade so tight
Crimson tears her only relief at night

A little girl with an old tattered soul
Full with secrets nobody can know
Silent prayers to the heavens above
Hopelessly begging just to be loved

This is saturated with so much sorrow... Great Imagery and emotion from beginning to end. Well written...

Thank you. Writing feelings out helps relieve the pain
