Passion's Masquerade

By MorganMoonlight

We'll hide in the penance of your heart
As love's funeral song warmly rips us apart
I tried to stay with you but I
Fell into the fear of dying without your ardent embrace
Once again...

I see love die in my arms, and in Autumn's embrace I'll crawl
With your blood scorching my heart

My dear Juliet, lose yourself in my garden of fears
And play the part in passion's masquerade

I cried like solitude sings my name
And from the end, I'm just one step away
Through sweet scarlet shame of this broken heart
We'll cover time's lies with love's farewell to arms

I feel death draw me away, and in the frost of your eyes I'll crawl
With your tears scorching my heart

My dear Juliet, lose yourself in my garden of fears
And play the part in passion's masquerade
As your Romeo, I'll drown deep in your river of tears
To die with the dawn in passion's masquerade

But now
it's too late

Like a sorrowful serenade, even more so with the added essence of Romeo and Juliet... Beautifully written.

Thank you. :) I actually wrote this back in 2007, but when I was reviewing it, I saw room for some minor changes.
