Pain on Paper

By drakemortuare13

How can I compete against
That which is not real?
A being of flesh and blood
And a figment of imagination

She is in love with him.
Dark hair, glistening eyes
Eyes that lead her down to
An artist's conception of a heart

What is he, but a drawing?
Lines, curves, and color
Drawn on a piece of paper
And yet, he is greater than me.

What can I do?
I'm human, a living being
I am what I am, only living
I try all that I can. It's not enough

Because he is of the mind,
He can be all that she wants
Everytjing I cannot be
Everything that is impossible to me

I can't take it anymore
I've thrown in the towel
My girlfriend is in love...
With a ****ing anime character.
