In the Face of Your Resistance
By Diabolical Incantations
Futility,
hanging on to your pointless life.
Humility,
your last lesson in your final strife.
Struggling to hold on to the reins,
replacing all the bad blood in your veins,
all your limbs and organs not your own.
If you ask me, your mind has flown.
So now you're dying you panic, fear of death,
so afraid to breathe your last breath.
You're barely human now and at what cost?
Any pride you felt, gone. Any dignity, lost.
You've cheated death so many times but still
I laugh in the face of your resistance.
Your just prolonging the inevitable reaper's blade.

People have hard time accepting defeat, they let fear control and lose all sense of dignity or honour. You portray how people act in hopeless situations perfectly.

The lines of life and death are intertwined, although there is no going back from the latter. Very thought provoking; there is much truth here.
