Tell Me Again

By Kristoff

You say it'll happen
That it will work out
But tell me again of last time

Tell me again of the time
You left me too tired to shine my inner light
Tell me again of the time
When we fought every second of every night

Tell me again of the time
When you left me broken, beaten and betrayed
Tell me again of the time
Our fragile lovestring began to fray

Tell me again of the time
That it began and ended in tears
Tell me again of the time
You laughed at me and all my fears

Tell me again of the time
You began to see that other man
Tell me again of the time
That you let go of my hand

Tell me again of the time
When I could take no more
Tell me again of the time
You lay bleeding on the floor

You and he, wrapped arm in arm
Forever in a cold embrace

But what is forever,
When you've no hands to feel?
no eyes to see?

Tell me again of the time
I sat here, head in hands
Tell me again of the time
When my living death suddenly began

Oh this is so melancholic and yet still strangely beautiful. Love is always something that is difficult to comprehend. Even when you have every reason to leave, you still desperately grasp on... clinging to a sliver of hope. I thought this was a heartfelt write. I loved it.
