I wait for you in vain
By bobbery
As a seedling
Awaits vital water
As it hides beneath
Scorching desert sand
I wait for you
To awaken me
As nature has ment
Heavy clouded sky's
Linger above
Unforgiving wind
Howls promises of love
Buried in wasted lands
I am withering away
Any....Day
Almost dead
Then
I feel something wet
Slow I open my eyes
Bone dry soil
Sucking up my cries
I listen for you
One final time
And close my eyes

hope can keep a man alive, but it also tends to slowly eat away at you like a cancer untill you die!

I can feel the yearning in these words. Nicely penned.

This is very good! I like the dark feeling it has & in that, it's saturated with lonliness from the wait. Well done!
