Heart Song

By FrozenButterfly

You laughed a merry tune
And danced a dance of joy
My heartstrings quivered excitedly
And you plucked them one by one
Stringing me along
And playing me the fool
Until you snapped them
With sharp words
And left me
Without any way
To find the music in my soul
My heart song died with you

We have all felt this before. Just when you least expect it, you hear the music again. Good write.
