Death and Rebirth

By Virgils Vigil

When a dew drop

from a leaf

finally falls

and finds relief,

puddles quake

a violent tread

(something stirring

in the dead).

The branches blow
in winds; their cries

for mother’s light

to reach their eyes.

Buried nature,

so it seems,

scavenges on

within a dream.

Simple and pure. I like this because of its bluntness, expressiveness and symbolism. Thank you for sharing. :)
