Tired

By DavidVale

Put me in a body bag
Carry me away
To a place where I’m allowed to
Silently decay

Throw away the broken pieces
Of a life behind
Joyful photographs that by now are
Forever blind

Visit once a year the place where
Purple teardrops grow
Where there once was joy and laughter
Many years ago
