Nightmares
By johnbevan17
As midnight closed in,Fear from within plays with my mind at night, time after time darkness around, and shadows moved on the ground,
Yet no opne in sight,
Dare
not make a sound,or
your soul will be damned,To
the demons who lie waiting,
just out of sight,They wait there watching, for your soul to consume,as they begin to scratch and bite,
Wardrobes
open a ajar,floorboards
creaking,
as a horn from a car, stops you from falling asleep,
You mumble please leave me,
I'm feeling so sleepy,
Your
fighting so hard not to fall, and your parents do call,Light off to the hall, and the nightmares begin,
The shadows become creepy,
Shadowy
figures creep by,In
the corner of your eye,Teeth
as white as the moon,moving
in to seal your tomb,The
quilts over your head,movement
from under the bed,
You begin to cry,Demons they're waiting for you to start shaking, cause they know,
you're a soul for the taking, before the new dawn is breaking.
So
before you go to sleep, Close
your wardrobe door, check
your bed, and
keep the demons out of your head.
Pray your soul to keep,
before
the floor boards creek.

Oh my, *chills*. This was beautifully dark and haunting. That's the word. Haunting. Excellent John. Another excellently written piece. So glad to see you posting again. Missed you.
