Something lurks outside

By RibbonHeart

Eyes awake in the darkest pitch...

...
...
...

The safety of light has long since left this place.

A daughter scared, holds her breath,
Gaze diverted from the window.

The evil is there...

...
...
...

Forced ragged inhalation keeps the mind ticking fast erratic thoughts.

A wish for a peaceful tomb.

The demons silently scream and writhe in a terrifying show of erotic decay
(If the daughter doesn't look they can't come in)
Incandescent safety holds the horror at bay.

Light follow her life, please.

Bile rises in the pit of her stomach as a connection is made between the windows of her soul and the windows of this prison.
Gaining intensity as the darkness pulls her in,
The demons are waiting with baited breath
The child is going to lose her will
The child is going to lose her mind...

Snap back to the light in the room.
Hushed hurried whispers as palpitations ensue.

She won't leave today
Rest safe in her tomb
World less decay
A soul in the womb.
