Waves

By Vampixie

This torrent of water releasing pure pain,
Wash away all that's good, but I'm still clean again,
Now I'm falling under, waves block out the sun,
And I'm hoping they might wash away all I've done.

There might have been something, but I'll never know,
Let them do as they will, for I'm turning to go,
I put up a fight, still I know I won't win,
As the waves steal away all I've hidden within.

The waves breaking slowly (like me) once again,
Returning once more to drench me in my pain,
A world of emotions mixed in with the sea,
And they're choking me, drowning me, making me free.
