For You

By JadedHeart

I tried so very hard for you,
to be perfect,
kind,
be true.
I even pushed my whole world aside,
Now it's gone.
You're gone...
and
I don't know what to do.
Whether I want to
or not,
I have to keep this mask
on my face.
Even when my World keeps
on crushing me,
I can never find enough
breathing space.
It must have hurt
this much before.
Pain's a memory
that fades away...
yet my heart still
twists now
in pain.
You
Were
Meant
To
Stay...

Nice requiem for the departed, seems to be in conflict with the closing, unless they return. Cheers!

I can relate to the poem all around and so many ways. It seems that I have a different face for every person. I dont remember what I truly even look like anymore. good post. ][ ][
