The Enemy Within

By daiglepoems

 Behold my work.
Gaze upon the wonder of my construction
for it has no equal.

Castles crumble.
Towers fall,
but my construction builds upon itself exponentially.
It will live forever.

Indestructible,
it shields my missles.
Repels assassins plotting evils.
Deflects the swords of carpet bombing well wishers, forged in the furnace of worthy intent.

I quiver.
I quake.
I prevail.

Bolts thrown.
Hatches battened.
Batteries locked and loaded against all oppostion.

Sortie after sortie flounder on the rocks of my construction.
I revel in my victories.
They will never defeat the enemy within.
