This is for the master of my heart
Whom brings both joy and pain to my existence
With large inviting eyes
A tempting smile
Sends thrilling chills down my spine
Soft fingers
Tenderly push stray pieces of hair from my face
I quiver gently beneath the sensual touch
Knowing me better than I know myself
Beautiful words and persuasive whispers
Are sweetly uttered into my ear
Telling me all the things I want to hear
However,
Time changes all
Heartfelt memories are replaced
With ones of pure, bitter hatred
No longer do your luring lyrics
Appeal to my senses
Instead deceitful lies and stinging words
Have taken their place
Cruelly slicing through me
Like a knife through soft flesh
It is now that I realize
The dishonest difference between love and lust
The glorious passion felt by one
May be nothing but a notch in a belt to another
So I write this for myself,
