Like Clinging to Shale

By alesana

and so tonight I lie
alone in an icy room
surrounded by the scent
of broken autumn leaves

you were torn from me
ripped from my very soul
by the tendrilly grip
of injustice and fate

the joke of hatred manifest
cursed to burn forever
I slash the impurities away
with blood and pain release

by morn we'll be together
wordless breaths collide
the soil of the After
inviting us inside

Think you might like "Sundays and Hayrides" that I posted a few days ago, from a memory when I was about your age, but without the darker ending, cheers A.
