So Called Friends

So called friends mock and laugh
Behind my back but to my face
I just stare forward in disbelief
No defense so much grief

The inside joke that I know
Pretending otherwise
Frozen still I wait it out
Soon will come the good times

I took the abuse
For fear of being alone
Looking back
Fuck 'em I'm better off on my own

Fear replaced with raging hate
You should hope we don't cross paths
Once released you'll pray for peace
Something I never had

I have had such experiances. With these 'so called friends'. I am sorry it happened to you. But, yeah, don't waste your time on them. Spend your time finding those who WILL BE your true friends. They're out there. And chances are, they're just as anxious to find you, as you are them. Just, be patient. Great write though. Very personal and expressive.
